Biobank Ireland Trust

The ‘Oliver Dunne Restaurant Group’ has been a proud charity partner of Biobank Ireland Trust for the last 2 years. Founded in 2004 by Ciaran Flanagan and Professor Eoin Gaffney, Biobank Ireland work to fast-track cancer research to treatment through the development of a Cancer Biobank Network. The trust facilitates cancer research projects including the development of the largest cancer freezer farm in Europe in partnership with Trinity College, and the National Cancer Institute at St. James’s Hospital.

In December 2022, OIiver Dunne Restaurants launched our annual Christmas charity campaign across all 8 restaurant venues in support of the vital cancer research conducted by Biobank Ireland. Oliver Dunne Restaurants are proud to announce this campaign raised €10,000.

_“As a group, unfortunately cancer has touched us all in some form so we are delighted to be able to support Biobank again in 2022. We’d like to thank all our customers for contributing and helping us raise much needed funds for such a worthy cause.”_ – Oliver Dunne

Ciaran Flanagan, Co-Founder and Director Biobank Ireland commented: _“For the second year running, Oliver Dunne Restaurants have generously supported Biobank Ireland Cancer Research with their Christmas campaign. Their contribution will help the vital research into cancer treatments and the development of our all-island research network.”_
